Sounds like the starter solenoid is gone. Does the engine turn over? If the engine does then you have heat problem with the fuel. The fuel is probably evavporating before the injectors can get into the head . Before stopping the car next time. Check the temp of the car. If it is in the extreme, then yes the car may not allow restarting (although highly unlikely).
