Subject: 1997 900 SE 5spd vs 1998 900 SE 5spd
My girlfriend and I are looking at replacing her current car
(Oldsmobile Cutlass) with a Saab 900 SE.
Currently, the '97 models have an attractive $3500 dealer incentive
vs. the '98s $1500. I can get a loaded '97 900 SE Turbo 5spd, with
all options (leather/cd/sunrf/power/etc) for $26,000 at a local
dealership.
The only difference that I'm aware of between the '97 and '98 is the
new hydraulic clutch in the '98.
Is there any reason to not save the extra $$$ and get a '98? Are
there any other significant changes for '98? Were there problems with
the older mechanical clutches?
TIA.
