I'm about to buy my first Saab (1988 900 SE 3-door) and while looking at the 1998 models I couldn't help but notice how UGLY the new colors are. The new Gold Sand looks like those 1970's gold kitchen appliances that were popular when I was a kid. The new Silver Green looks like it was inspired by an army jeep covered in mud. The Copper is...well...absurd. Citran Beige, apparently the most successful color sold in recent years, and the only true light normal-beige color option, was just discontinued for the 1998 model year. Naturally *that's* the color I covet and my dealer was unable to locate even a single 1997 900 SE 3-Dr. in the entire country in that color. How can a company that makes great cars miss so thoroughly when it comes to color?? Looks like it'll be dark green for me as I want both the 3-door SE 900 and a 1998 model. (Hungering for that Citran Beige..... :-( )
