My ISP has implemented spam filters on the mail and news services, and perhaps others will follow suit. The news filter apparently chucks out 100,000 spam messages a day, and the mail filter has cut the number of spam e-mails to me from several a day to one a week or less. Each week, it sends a summary of the mail it's blocked so you can choose to read the spam if you want. UK netheads might want to check them out at www.nildram.net.
