Early traction control was problematic. 92's were the worst of the bunch. There were several factory bulletins on the system and upgrades to components from the throttle housing, to the ASR computer, safety switches etc, etc. Your dealer should have checked to see if these had been done. TCS will store codes, even intermittant ones. If the light came on, the computer knows why. A 5 minute visit with ISAT, the Saab tester, will reveal the codes. There was also a bulletin to remove the rubber boot around the pedal potentiometer to prevent corrosion build up. The pins should be cleaned and replaced if too bad. (Did you know you were driving by wire when TCS is operational? There is no mechanical link between your gas pedal and the engine until TCS fails) If you continue to have problems with the dealer, seek out a competent independent with the appropriate Tester(ISAT) to check the car out. Or call Saab customer relations and tell them your story. If you call, have all your documentation in front of you, the history of the car, and the things you have found out that were done or not done to the car. The dealer can run a DCS check on the car and give you a print out on anything ever done to it under warranty. Remember when dealing with Saab, you'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar. So be nice, they didn't break your car, they are there to see you get it fixed. Ywan Mason
