Subject: Re: 93' 9000CSE Heater Question &Various other questions

1. The smell of coolent could indicate a leak in the heating unit. I've got the same problem and got a quote of around $700-$800 (in the US) for the job from the dealer. I'm probably going to live with it. I haven't had the problem with the cool air blowing when the engine is warm. 2. Daytime in the highway I usually get 13.9 to 14.2. With the headlights on, AC/Heater on, Stereo on, I get a reading of 13.5-13.8. 3. Sounds like the thermostat doesn't switch the engine fan on until a higher tempreture. Doesn't seem like too big a problem, as long as it cools down the engine. Enjoy you're new car.
