I bought my 1980 99 this past summer, and the former owner gave me two thermostats, one for summer and one for winter. Right now the summer thermostat is still installed, but it's getting colder here in Virginia. My question is, should I even bother to put the "winter" thermostat in? The coolant temperature is running a little below its normal summer level, once I get it warmed up, but I don't see how running cooler could be a bad thing, within reason.
