Subject: Re: wind screen wipers on my 1976 SAAB 99GL

From some books I have it looks like on the 99 the wipers allways start from the side the driver is sitting on. From the left on LHD cars and right on RHD cars. On 900 and 9000 it's the opposite. We got right side driving here in Sweden 1967 and the 99 wasn't out then. Also, which is quite interesting, cars made for the Swedish market before -67 didn't have the steering wheel on the right side, allways left. torstennopsamding.dk skrev i meddelandet <3482a70f.15207471nopsam.inet.tele.dk>... >Does anyone have an idea why the wind screen wipers on my 1976 SAAB >99GL work from left to right, which is, to my knowledge, the opposite >of the way wind screen wipers work on another cars? > >Maybe it's a leftover from the time when there was lefthand driving in >Sweden in the late 60s/early 70s? > >
