Use a mild cleaner when the top gets dirty, otherwise wash it only with water. I have found the best cleaner to be a small quantity of Tide liquid laundry detergend diluted in hot water. Use a scrub brush and work up a good lather. Let this stand for a few minutes and rinse very well. You really should then wax the paint on the car as the tide will tend to remove it. Retreat with Scotch-Gaurd twice a year. Hope it helps, Tim.
