Subject: Squeaks Rattles I might Get RID OF MY NEW SAAB! Do you hear me Saab USA?

Help! Saab USA or Saab Corp., if you are listening, please respond to me! I leased a 1997 Saab 900SE 4dr automatic in August. I love how this car drives and looks. I am not so sure about it's quaility though as it rattles worse than a TEMPO (no offense to Tempo owners). Rattles at first were back in the rear hatch area. I insulated the tools with small rubber sheets. The dealer then insulated the bottom of the tool/spare cover with foam; did not do a thing; the rattles were from somewhere else. I also have rattles in the tailgate. I know they are there, becuase I can tap the hatch when it is open an can hear it inside. I also have rattles from inside the dash in back of the heater. I removed it and looked for rattling wires, could not find any. There are more sqeaks and rattles from the passanger door. There as a rattle from the back seat; sounds like the headrest or the seatbelt. Tha car won't idle right; putting on the AC would make it almost stall and the compreessor sounds like it needs new bearings; the delaer just chjanged the belt (and wasted Saab's warranty money) and then said it was O.K. THE BELT WAS FINE! Now the car tries to idle and but then almost stalls then the RPM's jump up to about 2000 before returning to idle. By the way, the check engine light has been on for a month now; the dealer says not to worry becuase it's only a vpor lock becuase of a loose fuel cap; maybe so but why is the car stalling now? And how come the check engine light keeps going on and off! I tighten the damn fuel cap every time it is not the problem!!! When I bought it I told everybody how great Saabs' were. Our other car, a Volvo S-70GLT is a work of art. Same miles as the Saab; about 7000. No problems, drives great, great seats, loud engine but quiet interior. No rattles only a small squeak that was fixed in 10 minutes at the Volvo dealer. More room in the back seat. Faster then my 900Se automatic. Only about $40 dollars a month more to lease than the Saab. Boy, I am starting to think that I screwed up with this Saab. I can afford to retrun it and pay the penalty for early termination, and I might just do that. I might sell it or trade it in if possible. I am really disappointed. Are my concerns valid? Is it possible for Saab to just make excuses about these problems in a $33,000 car? Do you hear me Saab? Can you call my delaer and tell them to get there shit together? I would love to work with you on this one! You tell me what to do, as I am real close to dumping this thing and getting a Volvo or Audi! douglas75nopsamntmail.com
