Subject: Doesn't start: 1986 9000T

My 1986 9000T just began having a problem starting. Turn the key, and the dash lights go out (as normal), but there's just a tiny "click", and no action from the starter moter. It doesn't seem to drain the battery a lot while held in the "start" position. It did this once a few days ago, then began to do it more and more (but I was still able to get it to start, as though nothing were wrong, some of the time), and now doesn't start at all. It just turned over 200K miles a few weeks ago. I figured it's just broken-in; it shouldn't start breaking yet. Is it a relay? Where's the relay box on this thing, anyway? (On my 1987 903M, it was hard to miss.) Is it that "ignition output module" bolted to the left fender, with its own four-aught wire going into it? Is _that_ a relay, or a solid-state device? Will I kill myself trying to replace it? Is there a control-signal relay upstream that might have failed? (Extra credit: what are the chances that a replacement part is under a hundred bucks -- any part -- on this car?) I guess I'll fire up the beemer (motorcycle) and drive to the store. My mechanic didn't work today (Friday, Jan 2), and won't open again until Monday morning. *sigh* That's too long to be without my SAAB.
