Instead of the tool, insert four medium sized nails (round the heads a bit) into the four holes for the tool. While pushing outwords from the center of the radio horizontally, pull the unit out either by reaching in to the tape hole, or removing the volume know and pulling on the stem (carefully). Do keep track of the code though. Anyone stealing one of these things is going to be drastically dissapointed when they find it is worthless without it. BTW, while ont he alarm subject, does anyone know why my 89 9000S might be setting its alarm off when a large truck, or a particularly noisy car goes by but NOT when I bounce it up and down??? Do I have a short in the motion sensor or something? Thanks Mike Thebo mthebonopsamana.edu
