Please email me at > joenopsamanex.com I, personally, would stay away, unless you believe this car to be in excellent condition. A $1200 '84 Saab may seem like a good deal, but at 160,000 miles you may be setting yourself up for some serious hurt. Saabs are great cars - I own three of them right now, but the one thing that's for sure is that if they haven't been taken care of they can cost you a lot of money. It is true they will last forever, but they don't do so for free. Have it checked by a mechanic, a SAAB mechanic, first a foremost. Find out what model it is - Base, S, or Turbo - that makes a big difference. For $1200, you can buy a newer base or S model, and a $1200 Turbo is something to be suspicious of. These are my thoughts... for some other tips, I'd check out: The Saab Network http://www.saabnet.com Turbo! http://www.nospam.com/turbo/ My Web Page (shameless plug) http://csrtech.sac.bfp.net/jvanabra/buysaabfaq.htm -Justin
