Hindsight being 20-20, you probably should have gotten a Saab remanufactured--but The shifts should hit hard--will let the tranny last longer. You might try to find an AMSOIL dealer and change at least some of the fluid to synthetic ATF. The thing holds about 7.5 qts, and you can get about 2.5 out by opening the drain plug. I usually do that, run a day or two, then repeat operation,. Three drains will give you mostly synthetic.
