Several companies offer kits to adapt a later 16v engine to an older car. The *easiest* thing to do is use the CIS fuel injection from the early years with the newer engine - you will lose a Little performance vs. a true 16v car, but save yourself tons of time and money. Talk to any knowledgable Saab mechanic - they should be able to help you out. If you don't have any local mechanics, talk to the people at Group 6 (http://www.group-6.com) and they can supply you with everything you need. I have personally driven a couple "converted" cars, and it's well worth it... -Justin
