You have a bad ground somewhere in the wiring. What happens is that when
the ground "goes bad" (like a corroded connection) when you try to
activate a light, there is no ground path, so instead the current takes
the next best pth to get to ground and this typically is through other
light filiments.
Go around your car and look at all the harnesses to your lights and make
sure they are sound. I think one common place I recall people talking
about is in the trunk near one of the wheel fenders where the hardness to
the back light clusters are grounded. Pay careful attention to the light
clusters themselves and make sure now wires are broken there.
