I have 87 9000s I just bought on December 31, 1997. I had it put through a pre-buy inspection at Swedish Specialists in Lorton, VA. The car had 145,890 miles on it, and the previous owner had to square away problems the inspection uncovered. I paid $3400. Another friend of my with an 87 9000 turbo fixed a rough idle and stalling problem two weeks ago. The car runs like silk. If you want to find out potential problems, go to the www.nhtsa.gov site. You can check on technical service bulletins or recalls for Saab and any other make. Just make sure any used Saab you buy is thoroughly checked out by an independent Saab mechanic before you buy.
