I've been experiencing a very noticeable vibration between the speeds of 45-65 mph. It started with a growling noise from the right front and about one week later started to vibrate. I replaced the wheel bearing and the noise went away; the vibration remained. While replacing the bearing I took apart the drive shaft for inspection and cleaning. I didn't notice any burnt marks or play in the bearings. I did however replace the bearings on the inboard end because the needles fell out when I took it apart. When putting back together I applied the proper type and amount of grease to both ends. My second thought was a wheel in need of balancing. No noticeable improvement. * The vibration does not seem to come from any particular corner of the car but does diminish significantly when I let off the throttle. * With the E-brake on and clutch partially out the engine does not seem to shake. * The steering wheel and gear shift do not vibrate at any speed. * Does not make a difference if going in a straight line or turning. * Vibration is especially noticeable on gas pedal. Can anyone please give me some clues. Bob Coleman '89 SPG
