For those who wish the added safety margin provided by the higher boil point of DOT-5 fluid without the potential negatives of a silicone-base fluid, there is DOT-5.1 fluid which is still glycol based but which has the higher boiling point. I can buy it in three different sizes (all labelled "Lucas") from Import Parts Warehouse in Denver, CO.
