Subject: overheating on a Saab 9000 turbo

I own a 1992 Saab 9000 turbo with 114.000 miles on the clock.Last month the radiator sprung a leak and the engine overheated, the exhaust giving out white smoke, a sure sign of cylinder head trouble. I towed the car to the dealer, who repaired the cylinder head gasket(1.000 $, and that includes e new radiator plus the usual assortment of fluids and O-rings). Now the car keeps on overheating, and an engine rehaul would cost 5.000$ at least. It might be the cylinder head,or worse, there might be a crack in the engine block. The cost of repairs is higher than the car street value. I contacted the importer, but they are reluctant to help. Discarded parts from write-offs are hard to come by, at leats in the Luxemburg region.Has anyone out there had the same kind of trouble?. Owing to horrendous spare parts prices,a perfectly good car faces oblivion. And I thought these cars were solid and reliable. I'd appreciate any comments or the address of affordable repair shops in the area.. Does anyone know how to disconnect the annoying chime (I have the US bound model) which rings everytime I open the door and prior to turning the engine on?. Has anyone reached 146 mph in this car?. However much I've tried, and in spite of a careful and long breaking-in period, my car tops up at 140mph. Not that it matters that much thses days, where speeding is worse than torching the Amazon.
