My beloved 91 saab 900 has 128,000 miles. her name is sabrina. I was going through my maintanence records today and realized that in the last 78,000 miles I've bought 7 tires and 6 ball joints. Is there a problem there that my mechanic is missing or is this a common problem with this model/year. It should be noted that i use 4 snow tires in winter so real mileage for the 7 tires is about 60,000. i read in this ng and others that synthetic oil is the way to go. if i haven't used it for the first 128,000 miles will it make any difference now to use it? thanks in advance for your humble opinions.
