Subject: Re: '87 9000S Overheating?

Dennis, I bought my 87 9000S 5spd the end of this past December. It had 145890, when I bought. My temperature guage does pretty much the same thing, when I stop in traffic at a long light, especially, if I'm not running the A/C. I live in Maryland, near Andrews AFB. I flushed the previous owners coolant the second day I had the car. As long as the temperature guage does not go past the 3/4 mark, you should be okay. Mine runs at about the 1/4 mark in cooler weather and at mid-point on days like today about 70 degrees. If you are running the A/C, the cooling fans should kick in. Mine has over 149,000 on it now and runs like silk. Ken Washington 87 9000S
