Subject: need advice about 900 clutch....

i own a '89 saab 900.... recently i have been having problems with the clutch.... it started out just happening occasionally.... what would happen was that even when i had my foot all the way down on the clutch it would not let me into any gear.... except reverse... and when i put it into reverse... the gears would grind and then it would stall immediately.... i found that pumping the clutch helped some.... my first attempt to fix it was to bleed the clutch system.... i couldn't find a pressure bleeding kit... so i attempted to fix it by following the directions some guy wrote about on the saab network..... basically what he said to do was to pump the clutch a few times then put it all the way to the floor..... then open the bleed nipple to release the air.... i tried this several times but the system wouldn't hold the pressure for long enough to bleed the system.... it seemed to leak from around the fluid reservoir cap.... is the reservoir supposed to hold pressure?..anyway i ordered a pressure bleeding pump from the parts store.... and will try to fix it again when it comes in.... has anyone else had a similar problem?..... or ever had experience bleeding a 900 clutch system..... chris
