I've got a base model 900 (1989), normally aspirated, manual trans & 136k, etc, and the dang thing runs like a top. I bought it 2 years ago from the orig. owner, and had to do the rotors, pwr steering pump, alternator, and CV joints - all told:over a grand at the Saab Bandito Dealership - found a killer source for Legit Saab parts, and had a Saab Mechanic do it at his house - $326.00 parts and labor (plus 6 pack and some Kools). Other than this original outlay - and gas, oil, and tires - this car is a friggin' TRACTOR! Tough as nails, and runs all day! I love it! I want to go for a used 9000 some day, but am held back by the fact that I'll have to let go of the 900 to do so. If you go for a Saab, let a real Saab dude check it out, and then GET FIXED what needs to GET FIXED! I love this car! the Kevinator (a former Sterling, Supra, & Accord owner)
