I have a 95 900 S convertibel and have always taken it through car washes. After I bought it and read the manual, I asked the dealer, and they said just make sure to take it to a car wah that knows how to handle convertibles and sets the cycle for a convertible (top brush goes up after the hood and stays up). I found several car washes that understood that when I asked, so I just go to them. The car has been through about 40 washes without a problem.
