I have an '87 900 S (5-speed) that I love dearly. However, with 196,000 kms, it is experiencing some "old age" problems. The suspension has never been fantastic, but lately it has become downright awful. There's a lot of bumping and "thunking", particularly from the back of the car, whenever I travel over any bumps - regardless of how small. I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for how to improve the ride? Kinds of shocks to get? Special kits? Obviously the shocks need replacing, but any other help or advice would be appreciated. Also have a problem with the clutch "thunking" into gear - doesn't engage smoothly - it's only got about 50,000 kms. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, Jeff.
