I have never owned a turbo car before so any info would help.TIAV > > Gene > 97 GTI VR6 > soon to own a saab to THe single-most important thing with a turbo car is to change the oil religiously at 3000 mi.. The turbo spins at over 20,000 rpm and runs off the hot exhaust gases. It needs clean oil or wave bye to your turbo. After a long or hard drive it helps to idle the car for a min. or two to let the turbo cool. Do not rev the car as you turn the motor off, as the turbo spins after and with the motor off it has no oil. Don't mean to beat the oil/turbo issue to death or to scare you away from them. It's just that my Saab is my second turbo car, and I learned the hard way on my first. Good Luck, the Saab is a fun car.
