Subject: Radio Questions...

I purchased a Used 1993 Saab 9000CSE in November to replace my 1986 Saab 9000Turbo. This new Clarion stereo has a Radio code. How often should I have to put in the code? It was my understanding that the code was only used when power to the radio was lost, i.e. the radio being removed, or the car's battery being disconnected. It seems that my radio likes to ask for my code at random intervals, then it takes putting the WRONG code in on the first attempt, then put the correct code in on the second try for the radio to accept it. I don't drive the car every day, I have a company van. The car gets driven on the weekends for Church, shopping, and the occational 150 mile trip to visit my Parents, or go 200miles to visit my brother. Could this sitting durring the week be causing the Radio to ask for the code so often? Thanks, Mike.
