Hello saabers. I have a question....most of the posters in this NG state that, in order for an engine to last, the oil must be religiously changed at no more than 5000 miles/8000 K. My question is this: I have always used top quality synthetic oil in my '87 9000 Turbo, and change my oil at the factory-recommended interval of 20,000 Kilometers or once a year, wichever comes first. Is it neccessary to change synthetic oil more often? All replies appreciated.
