>From your info, I suspect wire problem because.... There are normally 4 wires, sometimes 5 (power(red), ground(black), remote(blue), and constant power(yellow)-sometimes illumination(orange)). The problem you are having sounds like a loose constant power wire. Check the "constant" power wire-normally yellow-and the ground wire, too. It is either a loose connection or a poor contact.
