It may very well be mold. The fact that the odor is stronger when the outside air is cut off is your strongest indicator. When the outside air is on, the air helps to diffuse the odor. Try changing your ventilation filter, if you have one. Secondly, turn on your A/C and blower on high. Spray a can of Lysol spray into the outside intake. You may wind up using a whole can. After this treatment, take the car for a drive to make sure your system get dried out by outside air. Ken Washington 87 9000S
