Laurence: The 97 900 SE is turbo only, not V6 Craig: Your wipers not parking correctly is symptomatic of a bad wiper motor. Get it replaced under warranty, like I did on my 96 900 S. Regarding thumps, the only problem I've had is turning hard in a bumpy corner. The front suspension is so tightly packed that it sometimes bottoms out if the car is already leaning over. This is a reason they redesigned the front end on the 9-3. Any other rattles should be taken care of by your dealer. Regarding item 4, shakes on startup, the turbo does not have as much low-end torque as the 2.3 L in the 900 S and you really need to be in first gear to start. This is in contrast to my Saturn SL2, which I can start in third gear. The trade-off, of course, is that you get that great turbo rush in the 900 SE! The clutch in the 1997 is different from 1996. I haven't experienced any of the other problems you mentioned. -Chris 96 900 S, black on black, name=Loki This message was sent by either: Chris Thurrott _or_ Kris D'Anci scully at ma dot ultranet dot com remove "nospam" from our e-mail address to send a reply ---------- In article <357E4117.608F4053nopsamucla.edu>, Laurence Lavelle <lavellenopsamucla.edu> wrote: >The V6 900SE is a dud.
