I put some in my '90 SPG and it went from audible to silent, which was all the evidence I needed. I also used it in my '95 900T when I first got it and didn't really notice any abnormal turbo whine. Last week I had a new engine I had lying around installed in it, and the mechanic used 10-30 when rebuilding - the turbo now whines like a banshee.... this weekend I'm gonna switch back to 5-50 Syntec and see what happens... I actually believe the synthetic part is more responsible for the quiet turbo, though... but assuming you have no oil leaks now, a really thin, high temp. synthetic is probably a good thing... -Justin
