You write that you've been "playing" with the ignition switch.... If I understand this right, you've mixed up two wires there. When you crank the engine, the ignition lock cut power to ligths etc. to save energy to starting. You might have put the wire to the coil at this position. I think it's the grenn/white and the blue wire that you've mixed up.
