I've got an '87 Saab 900. The other day, the driver side wiper stopped working. Turns out the 'wiper transmission', a sort of D-shaped pulley, worked its way off the shaft that connects to the wiper. Neither the end of the wiper shaft nor the inside of the transmission seems terribly worn, but I can't get the transmission to stick on the end of the shaft for more than 50 wipes or so.
