Gene, Radios have a trigger wire signalling various devices to tunr on and off. Usually one for amp and one for antenna. When the wire is hot - antenna goes up, When wire is not hot - antenna goes down. I just put an in-dash unit in my 90 900t without incident. The radio is equipped with an antenna receptacle and a remote antenna power lead. Simply attach this antenna lead to corresponding lead behind dash. I can't recall the color of the wire in dash, but there shouldn't be too many extra's if you have figured all of the other radio wiring - lights, speakers, amp.
