Subject: Re: Best tyres for a SAAB 900T - 1985

Carl, This sounds like a good deal, but I had one bad experience with Sears and promised not to return. I asked them to torque the lug nuts to 65 ft. lbs., as not to distort the brake rotors, and they completely bothced it. They apparently used an impact wrench and had the lugs anywhere from 75 to 120 ft. lbs. Not long after visiting Sears, I noticed wobbling and shimmy while braking. Needless to say, I had to buy four new brake rotors. I approached Sears about the problem, and of course they laughed it off. As an owner of an '85 900T (185,000 miles) and an '88 SPG (140,000 miles), I say that a reputable shop and an extra $50 for correct service is worth more than saving a couple bucks at Snears.
