The rack is most certainly made by General Motors. The GM "morning sickness" syndrome that affects the 900 power steering racks is well documented on the Saab Network: http://www.saabnet.com/tsn.html. According to searches on there, the rack is the same as that used in the Chevette until 1987! -Mike
