I've had similar problems before. I've got an 87SAAB 9000S. When the sun shone at the right angle, I could see something working, so I knew the computer was not dead. If you would like detailed instructions, you can e-mail me. I got the orginal step-by-steps off of SAABnet, but since then can't find it. But, I can tell you as much as I can remember, they were a great help. It's not as bad as it may seem.
