Hi, Bin running around in my 1992 9000CS 2.3t and it's great ... 3 questions though ... 1) I am running with standard unleaded fuel ... should I be using the higher octane (and more expensive) unleaded fuel available? If so, what effect will it have? 2) When I first got the car it seemed really powerful ... now it seems less so and I don't seem to get the kick from the turbo I used to ... I think I am getting used to it ... BUT ... sometimes, possibly when it's cold, the engine runs a little rough (like it's losing a little power) ... is this normal? If I had a turbo problem how would I be able to detect it? 3) Sometimes there is quite a tappy noise from the engine ... like noisy tappets or something ... someone said it could be 'cos it's got 16V and they are more noisy naturally ... is this true?
