Subject: 9000S Thermostat

Anybody know where the 1987 9000S Thermostat is? I believe it is on the driver's side. I followed the large hose from the radiator on the top left side and it enters the engine block somewhere on the driver's side. How would I go about removing and replacing it? Must I drain the coolant first? I would flush the system and all, but I havn't got the time as of yet. I need to get the thermostat replaced. That's the only culprit that I can find. My SAAB is severely overheating...I can hear my engine begin to hiss after long highway driving...even with A/C. =( Thanks in advance Dennis Park
