Subject: traditional window probs

I've read a bunch of postings about the side window problems, which my dealer says is natural for SAAB's with about 75,000 miles.... The drivers window on my 1990 900 SPG showed signs for about a week that it was getting slower and slower, and I ended up leaving it up - one day it just wouldn't move without pushing it up - down good, up bad... I keep hearing about taking the panel off and spraying some WD-40 to loosen the crud - I don't like taking things into my own hands like that - what is the general thought - it's ok? I'm not going to screw it all up? I'm not much of a do-it-yourselfer (that's obvious, right?) I also don't like having to wait the 2 weeks to have the motor shipped in from Sweden - you can't put a right in a left either? what about older year window motors? are they interchangeable? Am I just being a baby about this? Michael
