IMHO a bass bin or similar is the only way to shift enough air in a car to get a decent bottom end when you're on the move at speed.I too have decent front and rear speakers, which don't sound to bad at low speed,but at higher speeds and on poor roads just don't cut it.I don't use my system to turn heads,i use it to enjoy music on the move.Since i'm employed by the BBC as a Senior sound supervisor i think i'm well qualified to comment. I agree that space is a major problem with a bin or similar - it would be quite easy for manufacturers to design their cars with some sort of reflex system in the rear - it just needs a bit of will power. I take my tube out when i need the space,which means i can't go on holiday AND listen to the full works,but i suppose you can't have it all!.
