Leasing is also a good way to "test drive" the car. Any SAAB has a multitude of VERY expensive components. I signed a lease for a 9-3 (the fact that I had $2500 in GM card points was a BIG benefit) and, if my reliability concerns are unfounded, then I may buy it in 3 years. I think Saab has fixed its problems, but reputations are hard to build and even harder to change if they're bad. I have 2 friends with Saabs, 1 with a 1998 900 SE, and another with a 1996 900 SE V6. Both have GLOWING reliablility reports.
