Hello I have an 87 900 5 speed with what appears to be tranny problems. The car has 182K miles with the original tranny and 2cn clutch as far as I know Recently it has devolped the following symptoms: 1- When shifting Gears it would make a slight squeek as I let the clutch out 2- While in 5th or 4th it maybe a whineing noise, specifically when I would give it gas. 3- The last and most concerning happened today...while in 3rd at about 35 it started surging, I went through the other gears and this also happened...At one point it also wouldnt engage. If you have any ideas what the problem is please let me know. Also If you have any idea how much this is probably going to cost to fix, because I only spent 1500 on the car and that was 12k miles ago. Thanks Alot If this is going to cot a bundle I am defiantly going to consier another Saab, probably an SPG or 9000T in the 4-5g's range. Any thoughts on those choices as well would be appriciated.
