I have a quite similar car: 900s, 141 HP (German) Light-Pressure turbo, no intercooler, no wastegate, no APC-System... ...and I also like the idea of upgrading it a bit... First of all: this engine has as all newer SAAB-Engines a knocking sensor: it is a sort fo a microphone, but it only can regulate the knocking via the ignition time (and if this doesnŽt help also via throttle). The APC-system has even more parameters to regulate the knocking: it has also control over the wastegate to produce as much power as possible without knocking. So basically, when you want to improve the performance of your car you should install the complete package (for longterm stability), if you just install the intercooler, youŽll get more pressure and power because of the missing wastegate - probably to much pressure and power for another long time of fun driving... ...but please let me know if it works and if its stable ;-) Andreas Hahn http://www.uni-mainz.de/FB/Chemie/AKUnger/Andreas
