Just test drove a 1997 900 S. The ride was fine for the most part (a lot quieter than I expected) but the shifting was awful. It was nearly impossible to get the damn thing in 5th gear. Even my 1985 VW Jetta GLI had better throws than this Saab. And for a car barely 1 year old, the interior roof lining was hanging loose about an inch. Looking at the engine, it was rusty in several areas; plus between the firewall and the engine there was exposed and frayed electrical wiring. I am seriously disappointed in Saab's workmanship.
