Can anyone tell me if there is a fuel overflow on a '90 9000 CD and , if so, where does the gas come out. Someone filled my tank up into the filler neck yesterday and I noticed gas on the ground under the car and driving away I left a trail. It stopped, but since I never fill it that high, I don't know if this is normal or not. The trunk's not full of gas so I must have tightened the flange that holds the fuel pump in place to an acceptable level, but I've never replaced a fuel pump before this and it freaked me out to see a puddle under the car.
