Subject: Broken Conversion Clutch Rod



I have an 89 Aero. The clutch stopped operating and thinking it was master
cylinder prepared to bled. Then noticed clutch pedal movement did not equal
movement of the master cylinder push rod. The conversion rod to convert the
car from left hand drive to right hand drive had fatigued letting the clutch
pedal break away from the rod. Have had it welded up but will it last. Is
this common? have you had this Happen and if so how did you fix it? How long
will it last?
