Another way to avoid being tailgated is Get out of the left lane if you notice you're driving 10 MPH slower than everyone else!!! It is not safe for someone to pass you on the right because they don't know when you're going to clue in and move right yourself. I'm not advocating speeding OR tailgating, mind you, but I've observed pairs of cars that seem to be dueling it out for the sake of making their point, thereby putting us other motorists at risk. Does anyone else agree? If not, my apologies for taking up space.
